CARV (started as a residency in 2015) was relaunched with the support of SPM and Sergey Polivar as a Patron in 2021 to the updated format with a focus on artists working in the practice of visual art, sculpture, installations, video-art and conceptual work with form and material.

CARV has been serving as a platform for artists to have a calm soothing search of new meanings during renewal of internal and physical strength in the deep contact with nature and the sea. At the same time, the residential format allows a friendly contact with other talented creators, exchange of cultural experience and background for a mutual enrichment. Each residency is followed by the group exhibition in Cyprus by VELYCHKO GALLERY.

Cyprus Art Villa Residency (CARV) is located in Argaka – the quiet non-touristy village in the Paphos region behind the town of Polis, where the world-famous ancient art «Pomos Idol” was found.
