Anna Zvyagintseva is a multidisciplinary artist from Ukraine. Born 1986 in Ukraine, she lives and works in Kyiv. A full-scale invasion caught her at Jan van Eyck Residence (2021-2022), but afterwards Anna returned to Kyiv.
Zvyagintseva skillfully captures snippets of everyday life, serendipitous encounters, and autobiographical elements. Her emerging body of work acts as an intuitive diary, preserving fleeting moments, profound ideas, and subtle actions that would otherwise slip away unnoticed. She delves into the subtle, intangible aspects of existence, unveiling their delicacy and portraying ephemeral, ineffable instants. Anna’s exploration revolves around themes such as the body, existential paths, seemingly fruitless actions, and understated gestures. Many of her creations delve into the potentiality inherent in doubt, offering a contemplative study of the fluidity of thought processes.
She became a participant of CARV Residency in 2024. Our team is truly inspired by Anna’s multi-media approach through cross-media manifestations, including sculpture, installations and painting.
2021-2022 Resident at Jan van Eyck Academie.
