Jérôme Dupré la Tour
(Lyon, France – Born in Buenos Aires, 1982)
Jérôme is a visual artist, he has bi-nationality, French and Argentinian, lives in Lyon, works at the Friche Lamartine and has been teaching art to people in various contexts, also has participated and organized many exhibitions the last decade. Jérôme finished HEAR Strasbourg DNSEP (Director: Guillaume Dégé) and Emile Cohl Lyon School (diploma dessinateur-concepteur en multimédia).
Today he unfolds a “contemplation in acts”. His works are protean: drawing, painting, sculpture, assemblages, installations and one-off performances call on the public to shift their perception of what surrounds us, to awaken our capacity for empathy and action in the light of the collective unconscious.
He works with packaging, the reverse side of things, counter-forms, questioning containers, demystifying contents, to reveal another face of our ordinary consumer habits. He has exhibited work widely in his region and abroad including EKATE & the Collection gallery in Cyprus, the MAXXI in Roma, The climates of Burgundy in France. He lives and works in Lyon, FR.
